Orphans

Jesus touched lepers. I read today about the huge need for families for orphans with HIV. Of course there is a huge need for families for orphans period. But it seems that the kiddos with HIV are hard to place as are the orphans with other special needs.

I guess God moved my heart for special needs when I was a child. I have an uncle Bubba. I love him. He has Cerebral Palsy. He's pretty severely affected and was born at time where there wasn't alot of help. Bubba could walk but he couldn't speak. He would make noises and nod his head and we knew what he meant. Bubba made our lives better. Bubba made our hearts softer. Because of Bubba I have a child with special needs.

I don't think that just because a child has special needs he deserves a family any more than any other child. I just think that all children deserve a family and too many don't get one. I don't really even know how to say what I'm saying so I'll just end this the way I started it. Jesus touched lepers.
