Laughing at my life

Well we had our first visit to the University of Iowa yesterday. Crazy does not begin to explain it. It was just Judah and I....mistake number one....we were trapped in a boring little room for a long long time....mistake number two.

The doctor comes in and jumps down my throat for not having his records translated yet......I started to tell her my opinion of her attitude but realized she was right and I should have gotten it done. She was extremely nice to Judah which is what really mattered so nice in fact that she let him start pushing all the buttons on the exam table.....ummm another mistake ....then he wanted to go through all the drawers and then he started flipping switches like the building FIRE ALARM....yep that's my child that did that...I'm that mother who's child also went to the restroom and pulled the nurse help chord.  In case you are reading this and think I am complaining...I'm not. I thought it was hilarious. Now I can be pretty uptight about things like that but he didn't know better and as a friend said they make those switches bright red :)

So later that night as we go to pick my boys up at youth group who went right for the FIRE ALARM again??? But when his mom starts screaming NYET he did actually stop and let go of it...whew!

So today I thought he would do fine on a short grocery shopping trip with me and he was fantastic. I told him what to put in the cart and how many and he was such a help.....then came the checkout....where he had nothing to do but wait.....and there was this machine there......that cleans the floors......and it has switches......and well you know what I'm going to say.  He pushed them all!!

Thankfully the people in the store did not think it was a big deal and there was no applause when we left so I'm sure we can go back there.

Just a glimpse of our daily life. Notice the picture on the bottom left. Our boy is home. I want to move him over to the right with the rest of our children but I'm having some technical problems. But I want the world to know he is home. He is with his family. He loves us and we love him and life is funny and God is good!

  1. Next time I get bored I will go to a dr appointment with you! Sounds exciting. LOL. Cut yourself some slack about translating the records, I think you have had plenty going on!
