Realities and surprises

Well the reality is that I'm busy. I mean super busy. Right now I always have someone that needs something right now. And truth be told they really do need it right then. Judah and Daniel are both pretty similar right now. Neither can be understood, very much, by what they try to communicate so we play the what do you want/need game alot. They are both also extremely curious and into everything. Weird things. So all eyes are on both of them...except when their not ...and then weird things happen. Funny but weird. Jewelry out of my jewelry box on a doll or hanging on the wall as a decoration. Dirty towels put in the dryer to dry and then brought out to be folded because someone around here really likes folding towels. Lamps moved to the cat tower and plugged in I guess so the cats can see better??? Dirty dishes put back in the cabinet/drawer without being washed and dirty clothes taken out of the laundry room and hung back up.

So if you don't hear from me just know that we are having fun around here and hoping that communication gets  better pretty quick. Which leads to my surprise. Today we went to the pool and I was blessed to run into an old friend. Who just happened to have her daughter with her. Who just happened to bring her sister by marriage with her. Who also just happened to be Ukranian!! Pretty cool huh? So sweet as she was she was translating for me to Judah. Judah, the one who never stops talking to me in Russian all day long even though I have no idea what he is saying. Yep, I think he said like two words to her and that was it. NOTHING to say. She asked him if he had anything he wanted to know from us or anything he really wanted to tell us. NYET!

Back to Google translate for our communication and alot of pointing and repeating of words. Which by the way if you ever wondered, you can say the same word one hundred times really loud to a person and if they don't understand it they still have no idea what you said.  I've tried this myself. So has Judah. We both kinda figure that if we just say it over and over somehow it will sink into the other persons brain and translate itself. But...it doesn't. We haven't given up. I'm sure I'll try it again tomorrow. Judah come....come...Come ...COme...COMe...COME....COME!!! COME COME COME COME COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew adoption was alot of things but I never thought that it would be so hilarious. My kids crack me up!! Off to laugh at them....I mean with them!

  2. Sooo sweet! He will figure it out, he wants to learn from you. Our Z was the same way when he came home. I had a tutor for him in Russian since the school put him in 1st grade despite never having been in school and it was a disaster! After two session we realized he only wanted to learn from his family! It is good bonding time but makes for great stories later!
