The answer is easy really Like so many of you, my eyes are open. I read the same blogs. I look at the kids on Reece's Rainbow or other agencies. Their are so many children without families. Without homes. Without hugs and kisses and Christmas presents and dance lessons and all the things we give our children. Without Jesus. So many of them. We have another bed or can afford to buy one. We have money to pay our bills and feed our family. So far we haven't had to do without anything we need or most of the time anything we really want. How can we say no when God has taken such good care of us. I know the day will come when we are done adopting. I know we can't adopt them all but that day isn't here yet.
I hope and pray that I will become less and less selfish with my time and energy so that I have more to give to more children.
Less personal time (what is that anyway?) less computer time (hard one) less wasted time.
I don't do it right most of the time but thank you Jesus I get to do it!!! This is what I was created to do and every time (really) I look at those kids that need a family I want to be that family. So that is my why. I would love to hear yours.
Isn't this little girl beautiful? I would so love to bring her home too!!

Girl, Born June 29, 2002
Anastasia is a lovely young lady with blonde hair and blue eyes. She dressed her in prettiest dress to have her photo taken, hoping her forever family will see how pretty she is and choose to bring her home. Anastasia was born with CP, and has difficulty walking, but she is very smart and affectionate and doing well. Physical therapy will work wonders for her. She will be a wonderful daughter for anyone who considers her!
I love Anastasia, too! She will indeed be a wonderful daughter.
ReplyDeleteworking on my husband but he is a one at a time adopter :)So glad you love her too Rachelle. With us both praying maybe she'll get a family soon!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your post. Could have written it myself. People don't understand why we are adopting again but I just tell them that once you have walked in an orphange and seen the difference a family makes in a child, how could you not. I have a list of kids I would bring home if we could adopt more than one at a time!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would get it Barb. It becomes a life purpose!! One filled with blessings for sure!!!
