Blessings

Once again God has so richly blessed us with a donation for our adoption. Someone sent us a donation, a wonderful letter and even some gift certificates for groceries. I don't know how your family eats but let me tell you we can put a hurting on groceries pretty quickly. Especially with two teen boys that play sports and then come home wanting to eat all the calories they just burned.

I can't tell you how much the letter meant to us and the encouragement we received through this. I happen to be on a yahoo group of a bunch of families adopting from the same area we are. Repeatedly I hear of friends, family, churches and outsiders being critical, discouraging and opposed to adoption. It truly breaks my heart to see people (especially Christians) who set themselves up against the desires of God. Adoption is not the only way to serve or obey our Lord but, it is one way. Personally it is what I was created to do and how that offends someone else I don't understand.

So I mention all of that to say that our family hasn't experienced that yet. We have been surrounded by people that encourage us, help us and even donate to us as we do what God has called us to do. So I want to thank all of those in my life (that's you !!! ) that help us to do what we do. And if our kind donor happens to be reading this post THANK YOU. We thank you and Judah thanks you. One of my favorite scripture is Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is generous to the poor is generous to the Lord and He will repay him for his deed.
