We received another donation today. I literally had tears in my eyes and still do while writing this. I'm not surprised that we are getting donations. We are part of a very generous church and an even more generous Sunday School class. What is humbling me is that several of the donations we have received have been from families who are in the midst of various trials. Trials that would keep many peoples focus on the trial and not other things that may not be such a crisis at that time.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be helpful to others during a trial. I'm just humbled to see that in action. I'm also extremely and truly thankful. It's not even the donation but more the support that is so beautiful to me. This past winter when Daniel was in and out of the hospital and we were really in need we had the same kind of support. Without even asking. We had food brought to us and my children cared for and given rides and most importantly lots of prayer.
I know that is Jesus moving the hearts of His people. It is a beautiful thing to be a part of that. I've never really gotten why people can find negative things to say about God's people. Since becoming a Christian I have seen one amazing thing after another. People constantly reaching out in love to each other. Helping each other. Praying for each other. And when we mess up (which can be alot for me) forgiving each other. Judah is so blessed and he doesn't even have a clue yet. He will get to be a part of my church, my friends, my neighbors, my spiritual family and my physical family. He will even get to be a part of my online, like minded adoption friends family :) And through all of this God has blessed me more then I could have ever dreamed. So I repeat ...I'm humbled.
Good luck with your benefit today!
