Laughter and love

Several cards have arrived in the midst of my trip to pick up Sasha and I want to thank you for remembering. She likes the cards but doesn't quite understand that they are for her so as the language comes we will explain them better to her. She was being silly on the floor and actually let me take a picture of her :) This is what she is like most of the time...happy and silly. She does shut down though and won't communicate for short periods ( I can't wait until she can tell me what she is feeling during those times so we can work though it) I think both our kids from Ukraine are doing great, especially considering they have spent most of their lives outside of a family!!!! But they do have issues, just like the rest of us and thankfully our Father in Heaven is working those out for good. Sasha and Patience are growing closer every day so I assume people must be praying since they are becoming quite good friends. Daniel absolutely loves her and she is crazy about him, just like the rest of us. It is so hard to believe that God has blessed us once a again with a child just perfect for our family. Not hard to believe that God would do that just hard to believe that we get that blessing!!! We go to the Universitity this week and I believe Sasha's therapies start this week so lots of prayers are appreciated for that. She like the rest of us has an aversion to pain and unfortunately their is a lot of hard work and pain involved in improving her range of motion. I believe though that she is a very determined girl and we are about to find out how that will help her to make the most of her God given abilites!

  2. we adopted a 9 year old girl last year and she also HATED having her picture taken. Now she lets us take pictures...sometimes But it is still rare to get a picture of her NOT making silly faces!

    Sasha, you are BEAUTIFUL!

I'm glad Judah is doing good. We loved him so much and considered adopting him, but there was just to much going on in our lives at the time. So glad he is safe with you guys now!
